Meet Marie....the high kicking support trucker

Introducing Marie Hammond, who is delighted to be involved as one of the support crew and looking forward to helping out, along with with John (Waldron), Margaret (Woodlock) and Alison (Dougall).

Marie will be traveling in the truck (yes the truck if she can kick her leg that high to climb in) and along with the wonderful Declan our friendly support truck driver will be dishing out the lunches, snacks, drinks (and anything else which is required en route - except massage) to the intrepid '33'

Marie......come on!!!. I can hear those 33 wailing already with their sore muscles......surely you have time for a thai massage course before next Friday......

Marie, who is John Hammonds long-suffering wife hasn't been able to dust the dining room table for many months now, as it has been buried in maps, atlases and lists with lists of lists and more lists. For her Easter holiday, she visited far flung exotic places such as Camarthen, Marlborough and a bunch of unpronounceable Welsh villages -

Again we need more effort and pre-training in linguistics from you Marie........didn't you realise that this is a dual language country and support workers will have certain challenges we need to rise to such as reporting to the group that cyclist number 24 has a puncture in llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch or

that the morning pit stop is by the 'Llwybr Cyhoeddus'

Poor Marie had chamois cream on her shopping list last week from John ( and thought that she was being treated to a posh desert) and now needs to learn to apply it.....oh the romance of it all.........what does she now also not know about derailleurs, clip-less pedals, chain rings?
