Introducing the madcap mountain runner...

Introducing another of our molar rollers - this time George Lonergan from Finglas. This trip to London is certainly not the first madcap thing George has attempted it seems. Formerly an International Mountain Runner, with a glittering career for Raheny Shamrock Athletics Club, and representing Ireland at the European and World Mountain Running Championship, his last victory was in a 'run-up race' in New York.
What's a run up race I hear you ask - well George won the race from the lobby to the 86th Floor of the empire state building in 2006.....now that really is crazy.
George is a friend of the Dublin University Dental Hospital was introduced to the molar rollers by his buddy Una Lannon. Since a hip injury in 2006 (that surely must have been all those stairs) George cycles to keep fit, and is enjoying the challenge of preparing for the molar challenge and for the opportunity to raise money for such a good cause. He is determined to reach his 1000 euro target. If you would like to sponsor George, here is his fundraising link

Well George, delighted to have you as one of the team, and try to avoid the urge to run up Snowden or Cader Idris in the evenings if the 75km daily cycle has not hit the spot......it will make us feel a little lazy. However I hear they have 23 floors on the Cardiff Bay Hilton, so maybe we can race you in the lifts to the top ;)))
