The Molar Rollers are hoping that their cycle will achieve two principal aims.
The first is of course to raise lots of money for head, neck and mouth cancer projects. However the other equally important aim is to raise public awareness of the high incidence of mouth cancer within Ireland, and importantly to let people know that they should visit their dentist to get their mouths checked if they see anything suspicious in their own mouth.
Mouth cancer is usually curable and easily treatable if found early, however the sad thing is that many people don't get their mouths checked until it is too late, and by this time extensive surgery or radiotherapy might be required.
Please watch this video - it does not contain any scary images, but is giving us all an important message - so please post this clip on your own facebook pages or pass it on via e-mail or encourage people to read the BLOG. This very simple action could save a life and might just remind people to seek treatment early if they see anything suspicious in their own mouths
